Financial Disclaimer

1. Not Financial Advice
WhichDay.net is an independent web application providing free educational resources, mathematical simulators, and financial calculators. The information, interactive analysis, and estimates displayed on this website — including mortgage payment, mortgage budget, mortgage payoff, refinancing, savings and savings goals, personal loans, credit-card payoff, insurance, and auto loans — are intended solely for general informational purposes. Nothing contained on this platform constitutes professional financial, tax, legal, or investment advice.
2. Accuracy of Estimates
All calculations, amortization or payoff schedules, savings projections, underwriting approximations, and credit-tier adjustments are simulations based on standard mathematical formulas, user-entered figures, or historical datasets. Market conditions fluctuate continuously. Actual interest rates (APR/APY), premiums, fees, payment allocation, account crediting methods, and loan approvals depend on the relevant financial institution, contract, credit history, and underwriting requirements.
3. Where Our Numbers Come From
We think you should be able to see how a result was produced. In summary:
- Base interest rates are retrieved from FRED (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis) — for example, the Freddie Mac 30-Year Fixed Rate Mortgage Average for home loans, and a separate published auto-loan series for vehicle financing. FRED does not endorse this site, and the published averages are national figures, not offers.
- Credit-tier adjustments (the difference a FICO band makes to your rate) are illustrative spreads applied on top of that published average. They approximate typical market pricing; they are not a lender's rate sheet.
- Vehicle condition and depreciation figures used in the auto calculator, including the negative-equity warning, are based on illustrative industry-average depreciation curves. Real resale values vary widely by model, mileage, condition, and market.
- Insurance estimates use simplified rating factors — such as broad state groups, metal tiers, age bands and a tobacco surcharge — that approximate published rating practice. They are not quotes and do not reflect any specific insurer's underwriting.
- Property tax and homeowners insurance defaults are typical national ranges. Your county, municipality and insurer determine the real figures.
- Mortgage and credit-card payoff projections use the balance, rate, payment, and timing assumptions shown on the relevant calculator. They are estimates, not lender or issuer payoff quotes, and exclude new transactions, fees, penalties, and institution-specific payment-allocation rules unless expressly stated.
- Savings-goal projections convert the user-entered APY to an equivalent monthly rate and assume end-of-month contributions. They do not predict future APY changes or include taxes, fees, withdrawals, missed contributions, or promotional conditions.
- Weather is supplied by the U.S. National Weather Service. Date and time calculations run in your browser's own time zone using its built-in time-zone database.
Because these inputs are averages and approximations, two people with identical entries can receive very different real-world offers. Treat every figure on this site as a starting point for a conversation with a provider, not as a result you can rely on.
4. No Lender, Broker or Insurer Relationship
WhichDay.net is not a bank, lender, mortgage broker, loan originator, insurance producer, or registered investment adviser, and is not licensed in any state to act as one. We do not originate loans, take applications, arrange credit, place insurance, or sell your details as a lead. Using this site creates no client, fiduciary, or advisory relationship of any kind. Where we point you to official government and regulator registries, we do so only so that you can look up licensed providers yourself.
5. Advertising, Links & Commissions
WhichDay.net is supported by advertising (such as Google AdSense). We do not sell leads, and no company can pay to appear in our calculators, to influence their results, or to change the order in which providers or official registries are shown to you.
If an outbound link ever earns us a commission, that link will be clearly identified on the page where it appears, and no such arrangement will affect a calculator's inputs, outputs, or results. Links to official government and regulator registries (such as the NMLS, FDIC, NCUA, and NAIC) earn us nothing.
We do not endorse, monitor, or guarantee the service quality, terms, or compliance of any third-party website or institution.
6. Professional Consultation
We highly recommend consulting a certified financial planner, licensed mortgage broker, or authorized insurance agent before making critical financial commitments, locking in loan terms, or making property investment choices.
7. Reporting an Error
If you believe a calculator is producing a wrong result, or that a figure or source described above is out of date, please tell us at contact@whichday.net. We read every message and correct genuine errors.
